British metalcore group Bring Me The Horizon rolled into Minneapolis on a seemingly innocuous weekday, stirring local head-bangers as thousands prepared for the sold out Armory energy they so desperately crave. Often finding their name in tweets and comments of metal “purists”, any contention was left at the door as fans entered, making Bring Me The Horizon have won Best Band From The UK Supported by Pizza Express at the BandLab NME Awards 2022.. Bring Me The Horizon are no strangers to accolades. For their latest achievement, the band have scored over 400,000 sales on their fan-favourite track, Can You Feel My Heart?, which appears on the 2013 album Sempiternal. The certification has been confirmed by the British Phonographic Industry, and is dated July 15, 2022 – but this isn't Bring Me's first time being certified. The same record is host to several others – with singles Sleepwalking and Shadow Moses having previously been certified Silver. Sempiternal itself is also certified Gold for selling more than 100,000 units. On top of that, in 2020, Bring Me The Horizon’s single Throne – taken from the 2015 album That’s The Spirit – achieved hit Gold status. Clearly, they know how to make lasting anthems… Speaking to Kerrang!, frontman Oli Sykes recently explained how genre has never gotten in the way of their ambition: "There's still a bunch of boxes you want to tick: you want to keep some heavy stuff, but you also want to explore other sounds for yourself, you want each record to feel a bit different. So it sometimes feels a bit like trying to thread the eye of a needle a little bit.” Check out Bring Me The Horizon's newly-minted Gold hit Can You Feel My Heart? below: Bring Me The Horizon have rescheduled their 2022 European tour to the same month in 2023 due to ongoing uncertainties around the COVID pandemic. The band are also due to headline this year’s Reading & Leeds festival in August. Frontman Oli Skyes told NME last December: “It’s fucking mental isn’t it? I’ve never been so buzzed-out. When we got that email I was like, really? That’s not real. And Arctic Monkeys as well? It’s just going to be fucking wild, that. He continued: “It feels like such a rock-y line-up next year. Some of the Reading & Leeds purists from 10 years ago are like, ‘Oh, it’s not the same any more!’ This feels like a proper classic Reading & Leeds line-up, do you know what I mean?” Asked about what to expect from their set, Sykes said: “We’re gonna go hard. We’ll make sure it’s insane. I’ve always said that we’d play it when we’ve earned it, and it’s finally come. We have the songs, we have the bangers, and we might not be a household name but I know that we can put on a show that’s festival-headline quality.” The Sheffield metal titans were last year confirmed to be topping the bill for the first time at the legendary twin-site event, along with fellow headliners Arctic Monkeys, Halsey, Dave, Megan Thee Stallion and Rage Against The Machine. Już na początku przyszłego roku zespół Bring Me The Horizon ponownie wystąpi w Polsce. Koncert odbędzie się w Gliwicach, a jako support zagra A Day To Remember. Bring Me The Horizon wystąpią w Arenie Gliwice 18 lutego 2022 roku. Przedsprzedaż biletów na to wydarzenie ruszy jeszcze w tym miesiącu, jeszcze w tym tygodniu – bo 13 października o 10:00. Jako support przed głównymi gwiazdami zagrają A Day To Remember, Poorstacy i Lorna Shore. Panowie z Bring Me The Horizon występowali już w Polsce. W 2016 roku zagrali w Kostrzynie nad Odrą podczas Przystanku Woodstock. Od tamtego czasu Brytyjczycy wydali albumy „Amo” „Music to Listen To…” oraz „Post Human: Survival Horror”. Oliver Sykes, Matt Kean, Lee Malia, Matt Nicholls oraz Jordan Fish mieli pojawić się w naszym kraju w 2020 roku na Impact Festivalu w Łodzi, jednak plany pokrzyżowała im pandemia. Fani Bring Me The Horizon doskonale wiedzą, czego się spodziewać. Pozostałym można w skrócie przekazać, że powinni spodziewać się połączenia metalu, hip-hopu i muzyki elektronicznej – w dużym uproszczeniu czegoś na wzór Linkin Park. That's not to say that the music itself was anything less than phenomenal, but there were so many on-stage distractions that they actually took away from the performance. THEY HAD BACKUP DANCERS, Y'ALL!!!! And, I'm not taking Destiny's Child caliber dancers. Ohh no. Imagine, if you would, please a forth-grade single-day cheer camp. Yep :-/ That's not an exaggeration. The dancers were horrific to the point of insulting. Should I be able to stop there, it might have been redeemable. Sadly, I cannot. The stage is backed by video monitors, and upon said screens plays this stream-of-consciousness screensaver. It felt rather like those daydreams one wakes from with a start. They. Were. Awful. In order to enjoy the music, I had to close my eyes, because there was so much distracting from it. VERY DISAPPOINTING. Read more Report as inappropriate
